| In one of the most charming spots of Umbria, on a gentle slope at the feet of a hill, towered by an ancient medieval castle, lies the farmhouse “Poggio della Mandorla” (the hillock of Almond trees) surrounded by the green of the wood and the gold of wheat and sunflowers fields.
This ancient group of two buildings, dating back to the 17th century, has been totally restructured and it is an example of the traditional Umbrian country architecture.
The farmhouse has six appartments for its guests all furnished in rural style and can host up to people. The timber and briks ceilings, the inside walls with bare stones, the original fired bricks floors and the fireplace make each loft extremely welcoming, warm and intimate.
Almond trees romantically frame our swimming pool and from there you can enjoy a wonderful view: Assisi, Perugia, Sibillini Mounts and the hills around Trasimeno Lake.
In the valley all around the suimming pool the olive grove and the forest wrap up in an enchanted silence ancent castles, abbeys, sanctuaries and medieval burghs. Time, here, has stopped its endless… ticking.
In the inns nearby you will discover the best dishes of our region tasting our tipycal products: truffles, mushrooms, game, legumes and … hand made pasta all served with our worldwide known olive oil and a good glass of wine!
